Natural Wonder
Spend lazy days on the beaches of Buye (24 min), or venture further to the lighthouse at the Capes of Los Morrillos with La Playuela (30 min), or the mangrove islands of La Parguera or Gilligan's (25 min). With breathtaking views and secluded beaches, many local sites have been host to film and television productions.
1. Camuy Caverns
Quebrada, Camuy (1 hr 45 min)
Be ready to be wowed as soon as you enter this wondrous natural attraction, tucked into the Karst region of the north coast. Rio Camuy Cave formally named Parque Las Cavernas del Rio Camuy, designated the First Natural Delight of Puerto Rico is “one of the world’s largest cave networks”. This is an excellent day trip just about 1 hour and 45 minute drive.
2. El Yunque
El Yunque, Río Grande, Puerto Rico (3 hr 25 min)
This tropical 'Rain forest' occupies very little area in Puerto Rico, only a single, crescent shaped, band on the windward side of the El Yunque mountains. It lies wholly within the El Yunque National Forest Reserve. The actual rain forest is at the top, you must drive to the top of the road and hike up to see the cloud or dwarf forest. There is no rainforest lodging within the park boundaries but there are many places to stay at the edge of the forest that 'feel' like the rain forest.
3. Batey Ziplines
Utuado, Puerto Rico (2 hr)

5. Kayaking and Bio Bay
Lajas, Puerto Rico (25 min)
Lajas is home to La Parguera bioluminescent bay (La Bahía Fosforescente). Bioluminescent bays are uncommon due to its delicate nature and surrounding ecological issues. This is one of three well-preserved bio bays, the other two are located in Fajardo and Vieques. If you want to fully enjoy the phenomenal experience of a tropical phosphorescent bay, it’s best to come on a moonless night. Just arrive at dusk, take boats to Bahía La Parguera and enjoy. Bioluminescent microorganisms in the water put on a surreal glowing show, sparkling like fireflies in the blackness of the sea.

6. Coffee Farm
Cam Hogares Seguros, Puerto Rico (2hr 15 min)
Hacienda Pomarrosa is a working coffee plantation, founded in 1995. They produce high-quality gourmet coffee harvested, roasted and packaged all on-site at the hacienda. The hacienda also maintains a bed and breakfast consisting of 3 separate villas and 2 apartments with ocean views from the mountain.
